Rafters

Rafael was deeply moved by the stories about “balseros” or Cuban rafters who abandoned their homes and went to the sea in fragile rafts after dreams that most of the time did not come true. These works are crude and dark, showing another side of the artist’s personality who otherwise enjoys playing with colors and fantastic images of angels, humans and gods.
